date changes

Whenever I open a document the date automatically changes to today's date. I really need to turn off this feature and am unable to do so. I wish to preserve the document as it was last saved. Please help

Check out the help on fields and date.
You need to change the field from DATE to CREATEDATE I think.

In your documents file list, you can add the Date Created category - that will give you the created date list for all your documents.
