Date Column & Todays Date Project 2007

Hi all,

Is it possible to set the date Column to Automatically change to todays date
by default everytime you make a change?

For instance, my Start Date column is set to the 29/03/07 and everytime I
add a Row or Task its always reverted to 29/03/07. I mostly use Project as a
task a manager so what I would like is to be able to see when I add a new
task in or modify an existing task its goes to todays date so I can see when
I entered the information or made the change.

Have you tried the following option:
Tools / Options / Schedule / New tasks : Start on Current Date
You could also insert the Created field : Insert / Column / Created
