I use Outlook 2003 (SP 3) with Vista Business.
I recently decided to "do away" with the Sent Items folder and save al
outgoing messages in other selected folders (I posted a suggestion about it
on 27 June). Every folder now contains both received and sent messages, and
I customized the view so that I now have a From, To, Subject, Received, Sent
and Size column (field).
I assumed that, for incoming messages, only the the Received field would
show a date, while for outgoing messages only the Sent field would show a
date. However, the date appears in both the Received and Sent fields for
incoming and outgoing messages. The only way to distinguish between incoming
and outgoing messages is by looking at the From and To columns, which is OK
but not ideal.
Is there a way to have the date of sending of an outgoing message appearing
ONLY in the Sent field, and vice versa for the Received field for incoming
messages? If not, then one may as well do away with one of the date fields
and change the label to, say, "Sent / Received"?
