Date Format for Importing Dates

I'd like to import date fields from Access into Outlook
that would populate the event on an Outlook Calendar.
When designing my Access data field, what format for the
date will be "read" by Outlook.

Outlook should be able to read any valid date format. One
useful technique is to export from Outlook first to get a
little sample.
