Date format problems

Also I have checked all my regional settings and they are correct. They are
set for Australia, so should read dd/mm/yyyy.

Every program except Excel displays the right data. When I copied the data
from one program in the correct format and pasted it into Excel it then
reverts to mm/dd/yyyy and no matter what I try it can not be changed back to
dd/mm/yyyy

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately, you don't mention which version of Excel/Office you are
running. And don't say if you applied the corresponding updates.

As far as I can remember, this was a bug on the very first Excel:2001
version and was fixed with the very first update. So, if this matches your
situation, you'd download the "Combined update 9.0.4" from Mactopia:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/

If you're in a different case, could you give some more information?

Sorry then: you'll have to post you question on the Windows Excel newsgroup.
This is the Mac Excel newsgroup, not the best place to find the answer you
need :)

Maybe microsoft.public.excel.setup or microsoft.public.excel.newusers could
be a good choice,
