Date format

There is an irritating feature in WORD. When you type a date followed by
Return (e.g. at the top of a letter) WORD automatically expands the date. For
example, if I type:

12th July 2007 followed by Return

I get
12th July 2007-07-09

I had hoped this would be fixed with Office 2007, but it appears not.

According to the Getting Started section of Communities, this one doesn't
support Suggestions to Microsoft so I'd appreciate any advice on how to bring
it to their attention.

This happens in English (UK) version of Word. The explanation given is that
2007-07-09 is an ISO standard - hence it is in the UK version but not the US
version. However, date autocompletes have recently been thrashed out with
the Word development team and they now understand why this 'autocomplete'
feature is badly thought out and hopefully it will be disabled in the next
version of Office.
