Is there a way to propogate the current date into a cell
with just one key stroke?

Hi
Quick attempt, though I am sure you will get more detailed responses in due
course.
Assign a short cut key for a macro using the =Today() function, and format
as required
NB. will apply to active cell.

Parry,

CTRL+; will insert the current date. CTLR+SHIFT+: will insert the
current time. These are entered as static text, meaning the values
will not update in the future.
