Date Function in access

I have 2 access databases. Both use the date function to set a field to the
current system date. One is correct. The other returns 09/01/09 when the date
is 10/11/09. I've checked the Tools->References. This happens on the same
computer. I can go back and forth and it still comes up the same.

This may be strange but I found out my own answer. It seems there was a field
on the form that had a Control Source of RunDate but the Name had gotten
changed to "Date". It was getting the value from that field.

Thanks anyway

The most likely reason is that one of the computer's system clock is set
incorrectly. If you view the system clock (on the Toolbar or by running
clock.exe) does it show a correct date?
