date function

PLEASE HELP!

can anyone tell me why the date funtion works on some
computers, and not others?

i've just put together a database for work, that relies
heavily on the date function. - the computer i used has
vb6 on it(but i'm not sure thats relevant), and the
computer i've copied it to only has vb6 learner edition
(again, not sure it's relevant), all coding has been done
in the access enviornment.

so when i open up the copied database, the date function
falls straight over. please help!!
