date input mask

janaki

why does the input mask for short date format look like this: "99/99/0000;0"
rather than "90/90/0000;0"?

it seems to me, that with the first mask, you should be able to enter spaces
into the day and month, but it clearly doesn't work that way....

just curious.....(no rush on an answer)

thanks,
