Date () Intermittent Error

Dear Chris

Thank you for your reply - however as someone relatively
new to Access 2000 - I am not sure I really follow your
comment.

Let me summarize :

1. This is not a VBA procedure.
2. The validation expression - Between #01/01/1970#Date of Birth, field type Date/Time format mmm yy.
3. Either I experience the error mentioned or I do not and
the validation works or I do not receive the error and the
validation does NOT work.

I do not therefore understand your comment
about "references".
