Dates merged from Excel 2002 into Word 2002 have day/month switched, i.e.,
the dates in Excell are dd/mm/yyyy format but when merged into Word
document, the dates are in the mm/dd/yyyy format. Can anyone assist please

Many thanks

Excel dates are formatted by going to "FORMAT" "CELLS" "DATE"

You go to FORMAT, CELLS, CUSTOM and set the format any way you want, using
the method you are now using in this posting

Thank you for your responses but formatting Excel dates still does not
resolve the problem when the dates (formatted) are merged into Word. A
possible solution suggested is to convert all dates into text format using
the formula =TEXT(G2,"DD/MM/YYYY") where G2 is the original date cell. Then
use the converted dates to merge into Word. It seems to work OK.

Once again, appreciate your responses
