Date Picker Control Default

Hello,

I would like to set the Date Picker default to the current date. What do I
put in the default field of the Date Picker object to reflect the current
date?

edit the default value

select function button and then select Now

This will put Now() in your default field.

Importantly, if you want the current date once set to stay unchanged on each
form then use a rule to set the field and tick Stop Processing when this rule
finishes to prevent it updating once present.

Thanks Adam,

But, I don't see a function button. I think somethin is wrong with my
install of Infopath. The same thing happened when I tried to access the
rules option behind a button object and I didn't see that either.

The function button is located in the properties of the date picker object
right?

you get tothe function button after altering the default value by pressing
the fx button to its RHS THEN the insert function button
