Date restrictor comparing this year to last year

Hi,

Is there some kind of source somewhere that last all of
the date restrictor available. I want to do a query that
lists sales year to date or sales month to date. Also, is
there a way to compare this year year to date to last year
year to date. Since today is 9/16/03 I want to run a
series of queries that compares sales from 1/1/03 to
9/16/03 and then compares 1/1/02 to 9/16/02.
