Date Sequences

I need to track events by date, for every day in the
month. Is there a way to have all of the days in a month
listed in a column of cells (without having to type in
each one)?

Thanks.

Enter a valid date in A1.

Hover the mouse pointer over the bottom right corner of A1 until you see a
black cross(+ sign). Left-click on this and drag down column A as far as you
wish.

OR right-click on it and drag down. When you release the button, pick "Fill
Series" from the menu that will appear.

The date you entered in A1 will increment down column A.

Try these steps.

1. In cell A1, type
9/1/03

2. Select cell A1. You'll see a little black square at the lower right
corner.

3. Grab the square with the left mouse button, and drag it down to cell
A30.

The dates should appear in sequence. If you prefer a different format,
select the column and use
Format >> Cells >> Number >> Date
And pick a format from the list.

Obviously, you can pick a different starting cell or a different month.
