Date shortcut

When I hit CTRL + ; to enter the current date in MS Access I get a strange
result. Yesterday it came up with 15/06/20. It then said the date was in the
future. What I was trying to enter was, of course, 15/06/04. Why is this
problem occuring?

Do you have an Input Mask on the field that may be limiting the year to 2
digits? I recommend setting everything to display 4 digit years.

I suppose there must be a mask. Unfortunately I cannot change this as it is
not my own database.
