Date Sort

I have been using DateValues from Excel in one of the fields of my Access db
to be able to sort accurately on its matching date. I'm sure the Expression
Builder would be able to handle this problem, but none of my books go into
detail as to how to use it. Has anyone solved this problem?

What "matching" -- matching with what?

What problem? Your subject line mentions sorting, your description mentions
matching, and no problem is described.

Are you gettiong error messages? We aren't there, so we need a more
detailed description...

1. I have been using DateValues from Excel as one of the fields of my Access
db
to be able to sort accurately on its matching date (in the adjoining field).
2. I'm sure the Expression Builder in Design View would be able to handle
this problem of SORTING DATES.
3. None of my books go into detail as to how to use EXPRESSION BUILDER.
4. Has anyone solved the problem Of SORTING ON DATES using EXPRESSION BUILDER?
5. Can anyone recommend a BOOK thAt describes in detail how to use the
features of EXPRESSION BUILDER?

How's that?

The reason that we are having difficulty understanding your question is that
we are not aware of any 'problem of sorting dates'. What problem are you
experiencing when sorting on dates?

I'm afraid I can't help with the expression builder, I haven't used it for
quite a long time now. To the best of my memory, I don't think I ever found
it very useful, even when I was starting out. Of course, your mileage may
vary.

Thank you for your gracious response. Actually, you helped quite a bit. I
went back into the design (which I had been taking for granted) and found the
glitch I'd been trying to work around.
