is it possible to get datestamps on individual notes that i create on pages
in my prjoects? i have 5 different projects, but i don't want to create
different pages for certain things, and have lots of notes that i'd like to
be able to just see the time and date of the note. is this possible? i
don't want to have to hand write the date in every time, on every note that i
add on a page.

thanks,
jason

To get a Date Stamp in OneNote on individual notes, try:
ALT-Shift-F

You can also adjust the date and time stamp in the header. To change the
date, click in the date and a calendar will appear to its right. To change
the time, click in the time and use the clock.

thanks for the reply, but when i click alt-shift-f it opens the File menu,
and doesn't give me any option for dating anything.

maybe this feature is not available, but i'll try to clarify...

when under a tabbed section, for example, Project 1, i click the new page
tab on the right side of the screen, and then when i click anywhere in the
page, to type some text, and then click another area, to add more individual
notes, that is what i want to have dates applied to. i know the date is in
the header of the page, but that doesn't help me when i am making multiple
notes in the first page of the project. i'd like the first Page of the
project to be a notes page, kind of like a dashboard, and then the other
pages i add, have more detailed descriptions of things.

thanks for any feedback.

i guess i didn't have the actual note, or text selected. i clicked on the
little header bar of the note, and that did nothing. i had the text selected
i guess, and then tried, and it stuck the date in there.

so, i figured it out. just a simple case of user error.

thanks for the help!!
