I'm in charge of order keys for a new building with 300+ keys.
I'm putting data together in an excel sheet that has the following headers:
Master Key Name
Room Name
Main Opening
Additional Opening Name A
Additional Opening A

From the master rooms start to branch off into the Room Name/Main Opening
then to any number of additional openings like inner suites and closets.

I figure that visio would be the perfect tool to visualize this I just can't
get the data to look like I want it to.

How about a Pivot Diagram, which would allow you to create different views
of you data? Have a look at this link:
