date validation

Hi
I wish to take the results of several boxes on a userform
and create a date and then validate it.
=B5&"/"&B6&"/"&B4
is
1/1/2003
however I cannot format this into a date
How do I make this recognised as a date?

Jo,

Use the worksheet function:
=DATE(year,month,day)
but year must be 4 digits
