Dates in Excel

E

Eric Moore

I am new to Excel, using v. X
When I enter a date into a cell and save it the date changes into four
hash marks (#). When I click on these the date comes up again but when
I deselect the cell the hash marks reappear. I have searched Excel help
but cannot see the answer.

I expect it is something blindingly obvious but canna yone shed light
for me?

Thanks.

I think your cell isn't wide enough

Your date format is too wide for the cell. Either make the column wider,
or choose a smaller date format.
