Hello,

I've read about the 1904 vs. 1900 quandary in Macs vs. PCs, however, we're running into a similar problem.

Scenario:
Client sends a PPT file created on PC. Mac user opens and placed Excel charts/data are 2 years in the future. We can have the files open simultaneously, and PC dates are current while Macs begin in 2010.

Edit: It is actually shifting 4 years, which appears to be the 1900 vs. 1904 issue.

How can this be fixed without having the client change the date system for all of their Excel documents? Do I, the recipient and Mac user, have any way to globally change my options in PPT/Excel to correct this? Or does it have to originate with who authored the Excel file and placed the information in PPT?

I have read how to change the date system for a single Excel worksheet, but I cannot find any leads on how to correct the problem once the PPT file has been created.
