I have a field within a table where I want to enter the year only (e.g.
2003). Access XP doesn't seem to like this. Tried using different formats
etc with no success. Any ideas?

Hi Glenn,

you could use either a Text datatype (but you can get
strange sorting behaviour), or you can use a Number (Long
Integer)
