Day of the Week

I have a list of dates in a column that I am trying to
find a formula that would tell me what day of the week it
was. Is there a way to do this in Excel. If not, can it
be done in Access?

Jen, if you want the day spelled out use something like this
=A1 and format the cell as custom dddd
