Is there an add on to Project 2003 that can display day of year (DOY) and/or
year's week number?

Hi Ed,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Try Tools/Options.../View tab and select what you want from the Date format
pick list.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))

Hi Mike,
when I chose the date format in excel as W5/1, for the year 2005 the weeks
are 1 week off from my companies work week calendar. Is there any way to
change the start date for the first week W1/1?
rgds,
Alan

Hi Ed,

The only way I know is to go to Tools/Options.../Calendar and change the day
that the week starts.

Alan,

There is not much flexibility in coping with calendars which do not match
Project's.
I've simply used a date formula in one of the customized fields to calculate
the correct workweek and then format the barstyle to show it in the gantt
chart. You can't change the timescale at the top, but people get the idea
when the workweek is shown on the bar itself.
