Hi there, I just read the post about dst problems in Australia but over here something similar is going on. From a few pop accounts Entourage 2004 reimports all the mail stored on the server due to a 1 hour dime difference. This is highly annoying because it takes ages to load and then lots of time to undouble all those mails again. From the replies on the Oz post I understand this supposed to be a 2004 issue only although I have had this issue under 2008 before last update. But strange enough I've never had this problem until last year. So what's going on?

Daylight Saving settings have never been reported to cause this problem.
This sounds more like your server has been reset, which causes the
unique IDs of the messages to also be reset. Since Entourage sees new
IDs, it thinks the messages are new and downloads them again.

This is out of your control.

Some scripts to remove duplicate items are here:

Hope this helps!

Thanks William. But how come 2004 has this issue and 2008 not this time? But I'm willing to believe it's an ISP issue since more strange things happen every now and then. Alas, I can't use the script because I have to check manually on which emails I replied in order to keep that indication and of course the direct link to that answer.

Most of those messages should be marked as unread. Sort by "unread only" and
delete those. You could use a custom view to do this for all folders at
once.
