Daylight Savings Time

Entourage 2004, Mac OS X - 10.2.8 and 10.3.8 - Recieved Time Stamp is
1 hour ahead today(Received 12:03 shows 1:03). Sent time and Calendar
is OK. Have run all the Office updates, restarted the computer,
relaunched Entourage. We are not using an exchange server. Computer
clocks are correct (using a network time server) Time Zone is correct.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Have a look at a post from earlier today entitled "Daylight Saving Time
Bug":
I was having a similar problem yesterday when posting to the Word:mac
newsgroup. My replies to someone's post would show up BEFORE that person's
post, even though my computer's clock was set up correctly, as was
Entourage's time zone. Compacting the database didn't solve the problem,
neither did emptying the newsgroups cache. After re-building my database,
however, it worked as usual.

To sum it up, try rebuilding your database: hold down the Option key when
starting Entourage, and select "rebuild". Note that rebuilding loses your
newsgroup settings, and if you're using IMAP or Hotmail accounts, you'll
have to re-download you folder lists.

I followed your advice and rebuilt the Database. After that I ended
up having to recreate my account (IMAP) as I was no longer able to
receive messages. After recreating my account, I was once again able
to receive messages, but the time was still an hour in the future.
Outgoing messages have the correct time.

You should not have had to recreate your IMAP account, that's strange;
normally, you only have to re-download your messages. Rebuilding the
database did the job for me, that's why I suggested it in the first place.
My original guess was that your computer clock had not been set to DST, but
since you told me that this was not true, I stopped thinking about it. Are
you sure it only happens on your computer? Are other people on your network
also using Entourage 2004, and if so, can you reproduce the error?

One other person reported it to me, that is what brought it to my
attention. I checked both my desktop running Office 2004 on 10.2.8
and my iBook running 10.3.8. Same issue. It is only the received
time stamp on incoming messages so I am assuming most people aren’t
even paying attention to it. I checked the messages through the
WebMail option on our ISPs website and the times were fine there, so
it is an Entourage issue. Thanks for your thoughts on this.
