Days past/remaining in year

Is there any way to display the days that have past and
the days remaining in the calendar year on the calendar?
I have to prorate payments on an annual basis as a daily
part of my work. Without this I'm having trouble adopting
Oulook and my PDA as my sole sources of calendaring.
Please advise! Thanks!
