Dazed and confused - Outlook 2003

When I left home with my laptop I used to take my .pst file with me via the
Briefcase and all was well as long as I remebered to update before leaving
and when returning...

Now fortunately, I work in my studio, mercifully 20 yds from my back door. I
go in in the morning, work on main computer and sometimes lock up late at
night and come home.
Amidst the fun of family life I often wish to check my e-mail via outlook on
my laptop in the living room...

I could of course carry on using the briefcase but would be bound to forget
to update one way or another so I thought I'd access the main machine .pst
via the LAN - but then I read Microsoft doesn't support accessing .pst via
the network...
Even if it did I'd have to leave the studio machines on all the time...

so the 3rd thought does anyone know of a SAFE way to automatically update
the briefcase? or something else?
BTW I've tried Synchpst but it looks a bit flaky at the moment...

Cheers - sorry for writing War and Peace

You can use the Back-up PST add-in from Microsoft (free download) to have a
backup written to a certain location every day.
