I lost my Outlook 2003 BCM .mdf and .ldf files when I had to reformat my hard
drive. However, I had a computer guru use Acronis True Image make an image of
the disk before I reformatted and give me these two files on a CD.
On another forum, I asked how to get these back in play and was told to
start a new BCM database using the same name as the original then stop the
MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ server and copy my old .mdf and .ldf files over the
new blank ones then restart BCM.
My problems is, I make the files so long ago I can’t remember exactly what I
named them. What’s on the CD are:
MSBusinessContactManagerJG.mdf (25,600KB)
MSBusinessContactManagerJG.ldf (10,240)
…but I don’t know if Outlook 2003 BCM added the phrase
“MSBusinessContactManager†to “JG†or I did. Would anyone know if the program
adds this phrase as a mater of course? If so, then I need to name the new DB
simply “JGâ€. If not, then I guess I go for the whole nine yards as
“MSBusinessContactManagerJGâ€.
