DB open exclusively

I have an access 2000 db that has been sharing tables on
a network drive successfully for some time. Today however
they cannot have more than one copy of the db open at a
time on their individual machines. Anyone experience this
before? Access either tells them it cannot find the
shared file or that another user has it open exclusively.
No .ldb files have been left in any of the drives and all
databases are set to be shared.
TIA,

Maybe someone has changed the folder settings on the network drive. Remember
that all users of the database must have read/write/delete(/execute?)
permissions on that folder.

Thanks T.C. I did check this and everyone has all the
rights they need. However, we are still having problems.
One computer seems to be opening the db exclusively....
but I can't find where it is doing this. It's not at the
target line in the shortcut and it's set to shared
everywhere else.
