I just created a .mdb file containing 1 table, 1 query, 1 form. I placed it in 'open' directory on home pc and set every attribute 'open'. I can only open the .mdb file from my laptop in 'read-only.
(I built this little test case because I'm having the same issue with Data Access Pages and wanted to sleuth a simpler case.
I have 2000 OS and Office 2003. I invoke execution by simply navigating the file system to the file and executing

How exactly are you trying to access the file? ODBC? Directl
through some VBApp or VB code? Directly using Access, the tabl
being embedded within Access
