db_be.mdb and db.accde

Hi,
Is it possible to have a back end on mdb format with security level and the
front end with accde format?

"Security level"? I think you mean user level security. There's shared
level security too, but a database password on the back end doesn't prompt
many questions here.

Never tried it myself, but see if it works with a shortcut that includes the
workgroup file.

I've never tried it, but there is nothing in the ACCDE format that would
allow you to use an interface to open the database. If you are going to get
it to work at all, you'll need to use connection strings to connect to the
back end. Look here:
