Hi everyone,
I have two machines, Machine A is running Windows 98 and
Access 97. Machine B is Windows XP and Access 2000.
I link Dbase tables in the machine A with no problem
whatsoever. When I try to do the same in Machine B it
keeps telling me that the Jet Database Engine cannot open
the file or is being opened exclusively by another
user..which is not the case.
I went to the Knowledge base and it tells me that I need
to update to Jet 4.0 Pack 7. I did it and it did not work.
Before I sent this message I did a search in this
newsgroup and I saw a couple of people having the same
problem but I did not know how to retrieve the answer to
their posting.
Does anybody know what can I do to solve this problem?
