DBNETLIB connection issue

I am trying to connect access 2003 to SQL desktop engine. Everything
installed fine and I've added the SQL driver in ODBC. The connection tests
fine in theData Sources (ODBC) applet in control panel. When I attept to
connect in Access I continually get the error: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen
(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. I've searched and
tried everything I can think of. Any help would be appriciated.
