Dcount - Not working

Hi All,

Why this does not work...?

=DCount("[LOB]","Project","Phase = automation")

Table (Project) design is as..
LOB Phase
test Completed
test Approval
test On Hold
test Meeting
test Completed
test Automation
test On Hold
test Testing
test Rejected
test Automation
test Not Started


Please help
