DDE form freeze

When trying to open a Access 2000 form which utilizes DDE
in Access 2003 the program freezes.

Another form which utilizes DDE does not freeze but takes
awhile to open.

Any ideas (or requests for more info) will be appreciated.

It is obtaining DDE info from eSignal, a stock quote
service.
