Deactivating Office 2003

I see this question has been asked several times and the answer seems to
always be, just activate via telephone (which I've done). I am considering
re-partitioning my hard drive, which would require a complete reinstall of
everything.

My question is, "is there a way to deactivate from one computer so you don't
have to activate via telephone?". The telephone activation seems to take a
fairly long time (I'm impatient).

I know software like iTunes has the ability to deactivate computers so
purchased music can be used on a different computer. It would be nice if
Microsoft had the same type of ability.

Thanks.

ITunes registration & activation is a different process, and as far as I'm
aware the Itunes License is a single one wheres Office Licences depend on
'exact' version, of which there are many types

BTW Repartitioning a drive doesnt require the reinstallation of anything,
unless you want to move programs to a different partition

So what you mean is that if a good friend calls and speaks with you for more than 3
minutes you then become impatient?? Boy, do you have a problem

3 minute phone activation is no big deal unless you are trying to install an
illegal(pirated) version of Office
