Deadlines and Milestones

I'm trying to create a report or an exportable view that contains all tasks
that have deadlines or milestones for a set period of time in order to
provide my boss with an overview of what "key events" will happen or should
have happened during that defined time period. I've tried playing with
milestones and deadline filters but am not having much luck. I've been tasked
with creating a master project schedule, which will contain as many as 13
different projects, but the boss only wants to see milestone tasks or tasks
with deadlines when he's briefed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Explore Help for Filters. Use Filters to filter only milestones with
deadlines: you need to create a new filter for this.

Rod, I need to see all tasks that are milestones AND all tasks that have
deadlines, not milestone tasks with deadlines. I explored filters but I
didn't see any way that you could apply two filters simultaneously to a
project. Is there some other way to do what I want to do? Thanks.

Hi twintoz,

I think Rod may have signed off for the day, so I'll jump in. As Rod
said, you'll need to create a custom filter to filter for Milestone
equals Yes OR Deadline does not equal NA.

Start with a copy of the Tasks with Deadlines filter:
(Project > Filtered for > More filters, select "Tasks with Deadlines and
copy. Rename the filter
In the second row, select OR from the dropdown list and use the
criteria:
Field: Deadline
Test: Does not equal
Value: NA
