Dealing with Long Formulas

I have a formula that works, but is very long. It wraps to 3 lines in the formula bar and is contained in every cell in one particular column. It makes reference to cells around it on the same row

I seem to recall a way to store this formula in only one cell and make a call to it, but for the life of me, I can’t remember how to do it. Can anybody help, please

Copy the formula's text from the formula bar. Without changing the active
cell, use Insert/Name/Define, give it a name, like FML, paste (ctrl/V) into
the refers-to box, click OK.
Instead of using the long formula, now use =FML
