debug Error on starting Visual basic editor

B

Brian Gillis

I am having random errors when starting the Visual Basic
Editor in Access 2003.

When I start Access 2003, create a blank database, create
a blank form, and then open the Visual Basic Editor, I am
getting a Debug Error! Abnormal program termination (C++
Library). Nothing ever shows up in the event viewer.

If I create a control, use code builder, the VB editor
always starts just fine.

I am running the following:
Windows XP Pro, all patches applied
Office 2003 Pro all patches applied.
No other office applications has demonstrated this
problem.

If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate the
help. I have un-installed, re-installed, and re-patched
Office 2003 without any success.

Thanks!
