Debug error

After installing Excel 2000 on a Win95 machine. When 1st
opening Excel I get an error: Microsoft Visual Basic
Compile error:Cannot find project or library. If I close
the box excel works fine. Annoying please help.

If it's Excel in general - try uninstalling and then reinstalling.

Before installing and re-installing, try the following. Go to the Windows
Start menu, choose Run, and enter

Excel.exe /regserver

This will cause Excel to re-register itself with Windows, restoring the
"factory default" settings. This can cure a variety of ills.

You can reregister excel with the same command in xl2002. (But I don't know if
it'll fix your problem. But you will in a matter of seconds.)
