Debug Outlook 2002 calendar after crashes?

I got Outlook 2002 with my new iPaq, so I figured that I would use it to
keep my data on both the iPaq and the desktop computer.

But when I sync my iPaq calendar with Outlook, Outlook locks up. No
problems with contacts or tasks, but when I try to sync my schedule from the
iPaq to the desktop, Outlook 2002 can't handle it.

I've tried fresh installs, and then even on another computer. Same result.
Never had this problem with old Outlook (98, I think). I do not have the
software tied into a server.

Is there some way that I can try to figure out what is going wrong? Is
there some corrupt field in one or more of my calendar entries? Some
entries probably date back to 1998 when I got my Philips Velo.
