decimals to minutes?

William Stokes

Hello,

If I calculate:

Speed: 90km/h
Distance: 1240 km

1240/90=13,77777

How do I convert this result 13,7777 to a "human readable" format like
13:47:00? (13 hours and 47 minutes)
(actually I dont need seconds, just full hous +minutes)

Thanks
-Will

With 1240 in A1 and 90 in B1 use:

=ROUND(A1/B1*60,0)/60/24

formatted as [h]:mm in case you ever got over 24 hours
