Decode an mso object

I have an Word ML file which has encoded data which is a text box component
with some text within it. I need to programatically edit the text within this
component using C# and then re-encode it. Does anyone know how to do this?

Too little information. What kind of "text box component"? The Word UI provides
at least FOUR things named "text box".

Are you trying to manipulate this using XML, without automating Word?
