default “work†field displayed days not hours in web client

In MS project plan by changing the way that the Work unit is displayed
1.On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Schedule tab.
2.In the Work is entered in box, select the time unit you want.
3.make the new settings the default in future projects, click Set as Default.

I have now made this change in the Global Enterprise template but I’m still
not seeing it showing up on my web client within the Timesheet view.

I also tried changing it for a published project (within the project plan,
not the global template) but no luck.

Finally I created a brand new test project plan and assign myself some tasks
and publish it.This works fine i can see work field as days not in hours in
web access. But i want to display the same thing for old projects plans also.

Please eloborate your view on how to use the Overwrite Actuals.
If any other way to resolve this, please suggest me.

Is this PS2003?

On existing plans, you will need to make the change on each plan and
re-publish. Try using the Overwrite Actuals to force the change to go out.

You might have to do it for all projects that are showing up on the users
timesheet for it to take effect.
