Default age of messages to autoarchive

I try to set the Default Autoarchive age of message to 1 week but when I try
to run autoarchive, this has reset to 6 months.

the actual setting changed?
Remember that Archiving works on the modified date of items.

Yes, the setting for the age of items to be autoarchived changed back to "6
months" from the "1 week" I had set it to. After resetting it to "1 week", I
closed the dialogue, reopened it, and it had reverted to "6 months" again.

Are you in a corporate environment that might be globally setting the
AutoArchive time?

Do you have administrator privileges?

It is a corporate environment so that may be the reason. I will check our
corporate policy but this was not policy 3 months ago. I do have
administrative priviledges.
