Default Appointment Duration

Would like to be able to set a default appoint duration
other than the choices given in the Customize current view
drop down box.

Even if I have to do a little programming with VBA or
similar it would be very helpful.

Would like to be able to set default appointment length to
40 minutes.

Anyone know how to do it?
