Default Calendar in MS Project

I have created a new base calendar other than the default seeded
calendar(Standard). When creating a new project, I do update the project
information by selecting the new base calendar instead of the Standard one.

However, MS Project still assigns the seeded Standard calendar as the
default when creating a new task or when creating a new resource. Is there
anyway to set the new base calendar as the default one when creating a new
task or when adding a new resource?

I appreciate any support on this regard.

Regards,
Hisham.

Hi,

If you set the bnew calendar as the project calendar in Project, Prohject
information, it will be used as the project calendar.
New tasks will be planned according to this calendar.
Unfortunately, indeed, for respurces you have to change the base calendar
from Standard to this one.

Thanks for the feedback.

Actually the calendar assigned when creating a new task is "None"; does that
mean the new task is following my custom calendar as defined in the project
information?

As for the resources, is it the same issue in MS Project 2007 since I am
currently using 2003 version.
