Default Date in Text Form Field

Tanya

In Word 2003, I've added a text form field to a document and set the
Type to Date & Date format to M/d/yyyy. For the Default date I would
like the current date to appear, but cant figure out how to make it
happen. I entered =date but get the message that a valid date or time
is required. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this. Thanks,

Tanya

Insert the text box from the Forms toolbar. Right-click on the field
and choose Properties. In the TYPE: dropdown box, choose CurrentDate.
In the DATE FORMAT: dropdown box, choose the format you want.
